Current Projects
ALISAI am working with Dr. Antonio Sanchez on Image Recognition. My current project involves face detection in images. I am working on integrating ALISA with the Generalized Hough Transform to create an effective heuristic implementable for image segmentation. I received a $750 grant from the College of Science and Engineering Research Center (SERC) in Fall 2007. As a part of my research, I visited Dr. Bock, the creator of ALISA, in Washington DC. I also presented a poster titled "Shaped-Based Face Detection in Images" in the annual Science and Research Symposium (SRS). You can view it in pdf format here. I will post a link to a GUI and eclipse plugin soon. I am currently working on integrating my face detection algorithm with JavALISA. You can view an updated poster here.
SASyLF
I am working with Dr. Jonathan Aldrich translating SASyLF from Java to Twelf/LF. More information coming soon.
Past Projects
Type Systems in Programming LanguagesIn Summer '08, I worked with Dr. Stephanie Weirich analyzing the properties of dependently typed languages. This will involve studying and programming in various functional languages and attempting to analyze its properties through the implementation of various algorithms of binary trees. You can view more information on that here.
